Ednaston Church from outside and within
.
This Anglican Church lies in the hamlet of Edlaston, which is one of the smallest villages in Derbyshire, with only an inn and a handful of farms within its boundaries. Linked by a road and a couple of fields away, however, lies the larger hamlet of Wyaston with a population of about 150.
The oldest parts of the church date from the 1300s, but the building has been altered over the years. The unusual 'continental style' bell tower replaced an earlier wooden tower in 1900. One bell dates from 1540 and the other is dated 1682.
