A Faculty dated 29th April 1907 authorised
further alterations to the Church. It requested permission :-
- To lengthen the south aisle eastward; to remove the organ from
its present position into the extended portion of that aisle and divide
the present vestry at the east end of the north aisle into two rooms, the
inner to be used as a clergy and parish vestry and the outer one for the
use of the singers and for general purposes
- To block up the present west entrance under the tower and build
a new porch on the north side of the church.
- To remove the font from its present position and place it in the
centre of the space under the tower.
- To remove two of the seats in the nave and three from the south
aisle, and place those remaining further apart to give more space for the
occupiers; also to shorten the seats to give more width to the gangways.
- To excavate a chamber undrneath the existing portion of the south
aisle to place therein a heating apparatus.
- To remove the stained glass windows in the south wall of the chancel,
being a memorial to the late William Ellis, and to insert them in the west
end of the church.
- To erect an oaken screen of open work between the nave and the
chancel, and four other similar screens on the north and south sides of
the chancel.
- To remove the present pulpit and substitue one of carved oak.
- To place the Holy Table on a platform or footspace with equal
standing space at the north, south and west sides and to cover the rough
stonework behind and above the table with hangings of decent stuff.
